Salyers, 41, has a deep background in the hotel industry, including almost a decade with hotels in the Adirondacks, most recently with High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid. He was also the Spa Director of the Element Day and Spa at High Peaks Resort.

Hardman, Operating Officer and President of RGH Hospitality. “The Hotel Saranac has the best of both worlds being part of Hilton’s Curio Collection. You have the power of a Hilton brand while still maintaining the ability to be local and independent.”

Salyers, who attended the University of Houston Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management, is responsible for the daily operation of the Hotel Saranac, which is undergoing a major restoration and is scheduled to re-open in the winter of 2017.

“Putting a General Manager in place is another big step as we get closer to completing this project,” says Richard Dean, Operations Specialist for RGH Hospitality/Roedel Companies.

“Saranac Lake is such a beautiful area and this is a great opportunity to bring something back that has been a big part of this vibrant community,” Salyers said. “What has impressed me is the high level of service everyone is committed to providing. This is what I wanted to be part of.”
